Just thought I'd let everyone know that the car was recovered yesterday in
Surrey on 163rd and 84th in the general area where it was spotted. It was seen
on 176A and 64th in an industrial area right behind Silent Witness Surveillance.
We drove around the area for an hour Wednesday night after the club meeting
looking for any signs of funny business and had no luck but it might have been
enough to scare them because it seems like they stopped half way in there
tracks. They scraped off the decals on the left side and started the rest but
stopped for some reason. They cleaned out the interior but left the motor,
suspension and wheels which I was happy to see. It needs a paint job but I think
I know of a good shop for that!(haha).
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for your promptness in
posting it on the site and spreading the word around. It's comforting to know
that there are people out there that care. People like John Campbell who was out
there with me driving around looking for the car Wednesday night and others that
offered advice and support. It seems to have helped. Thank you very much! They
did get some stuff but the car is intact and that's whats important.
Unfortunately, you won't see me at anymore events this year. I broke the bank
just getting it to Indy so it'll be a while before I'll be able to afford the
stuff needed to get the 'stang back to the track. Here is a list of things that
were taken from the car.
-1 new "2002" OMP racing seat+brackets"black"
-Jager 5 point harness"blue"
-Jager Window net"blue"
-Autometer PROTach w/shift light part#6832"gray+black"
-Russell brake proportioning valve
-4x17" Cobra R wheel 5lug "white"
-4x17" 255rears 235fronts Toyo RA-1 tires
-Brand new Speakers in box TEAC LS-X700 I was going to install in the
trailer(They left the blaupunkt deck though, figure that one out)
-Ryobi 14.4 cordless drill/driver set with 4 batts, charger+flashlight
-other small tools and sockets, misc items that were left in the car.
-they left my brand new OMP race suit(which doesn't make any sense either.)
I would still like to get my hands on the rest of the stuff if possible. If
necessary a "no questions asked" reward will be given to anyone who
returns it. If not I guess I'll just chalk it up to a very expensive lesson.
Thanks Again,

I've just had my 1989 Ford Mustang GT (Blue+White)road race car stolen right
out of the back of my trailer. It wasn't insured and I'm not sure if it's
covered in the trailer content coverage. It was in a fenced compound at my
Burnaby business. Mark's autobody, 7070 Randolph. It must have happened
sometime late last night. If anyone hears or sees anything I would really
appreciate a call or reply to this mail. Cell: 604-250-0996. Back to the
drawing board I guess. Pics attached. Thanks!!
